DELTA-8
In December 2018, Congress passed the 2018 Farm Bill. This was a decisive victory for the cannabis and hemp industry. This legalized the distribution, production, and sale of hemp products on a national and Federal scale. According to this federal law, a hemp product can contain up to 0.3% of hemp-derived Delta-9 THC on a dry weight basis. Delta-9 THC is the primary cannabinoid responsible for the “high” that comes from using a marijuana or cannabis product.
Due to its accessibility and promising applications, Delta 8 THC, a cannabinoid found in the hemp plant, has recently gained popularity. Legalized under the 2018 Farm Bill, Delta-8 THC products offer an enriching mental high and a relaxing body sensation. It is like Delta-9 THC, the main chemical in Cannabis, but with less potency and different effects.
